Glass-Block Windows
Translucent glass blocks are a great way to bring light into a contemporary space when the outside view is less than desirable, as was the case in this kitchen. In fact, the grid pattern of the blocks is a good fit with the solid geometry of this sleek modern room. Note how the range and hood line up with the window. Glass tiles lining the backsplash echo the window grid, and a breakfast bar forms a bridge between the great-room and the kitchen.
