Silk Valance Over Cornice

In a room with unexceptional architecture and a wall of big windows, an arched treatment–part cornice, part valance–steals the show. The frame of curved wood is mounted above the window for height, and the silk valance is fitted and pleated directly onto the cornice. Cording finishes the edges and full-length draperies frame the view.
